THE PATH TO SPONSORSHIP

Most future sponsors are current TRAILBLAZERS. The Trailblazer program is one private or semi-private lesson per week and the fee is $250/month.

The next step is SPONSOR-IN-TRAINING. As a sponsor-in-training, the student continues her Trailblazer lesson on a weekly basis, but is invited to stay for the entire afternoon. In addition she comes to the ranch one other afternoon a week and is partnered with a more experienced sponsor who teaches her how the co-op chores work. This allows the sponsor-in-training to get to know the Friendly Trails barn and all of the horses much better. For one month, sponsors-in-training do not pay any additional fee, and their parents are not required to provide barn supervision twice/month, though it is recommended that parents shadow experienced parent barn supervisors to also learn the ropes before they take on a shift.

If a child would like to be a sponsor-in-training longer than one month, an additional fee of $100 will be added to the Trailblazer fee for the sponsor-in-training fee of $365. As some students may wish to have an extra lesson each week during the sponsor-in-training period. The fee for two lessons/week plus the sponsor-in-training day is $445.

Finally, a student is ready to be independent enough to become a SPONSOR. Sponsors attend the ranch three days/week. Parents supervise the barn every other week. The fee for Sponsorship is $395/month.
