WHAT: Kinderhorse is a sweet
introductory horse class for children in the preschool-Kindergarten
learning levels. The curriculum is lightly Waldorf-inspired with small
curriculum items each class including circle and story-time, grooming,
horse handling, yoga for horse riders, and riding.
WHO: Children ages 4-7 years of age (3.5 yrs familiar with circle time and direction following welcome) who are horse curious or horse obsessed and anything in between. Parent participation is required (and fun). WHEN: Four classes in four consecutive weeks. WHERE: Dougherty Ranch, the lovely home of Friendly Trails. 700 Nicasio Valley Road, (1.25 miles north of Sir Francis Drake Blvd.) just one mile north of Roy’s Redwoods, the perfect shady spot for picnic lunch right before or after horse class. HOW MUCH: $135 for the four classes. No make-ups are available, but the price is very good! WEAR/BRING: Bike, horse or extreme sports helmet that fits well. Sturdy closed shoes (sneakers are fine, cowboy boots are fun, but children need to be able to walk on uneven ground comfortably.) Layered clothes and a water bottle. |
